Neighbours have described seeing a Perth man brutally dragged along the road during an argument with the driver.

Witness Alexis Alveyera was outside his home on Manning Street in Scarborough yesterday when he heard a man arguing with the female driver of a Suzuki.

The man is believed to have tried reaching through the window before the driver accelerated away.

Neighbours have told 9NEWS they initially thought the man was attempting to car surf.

The 35-year-old was dragged for hundreds of metres before releasing his grip on the window.

“She just kept going another 20 metres, (and) that's when he fell over on the ground and other people down there tried to help him,” Alexis told 9NEWS.

The man suffered injuries to his feet and legs.

Neighbours called police however both individuals left the scene before authorities could arrive.

The woman reportedly left in her car, while the man managed to take to his heels, despite his injuries.
