Newborn moments from injury in terrifying party scenes

A man's jaw was broken and a young mum was forced to hide her newborn baby in a bathroom after a group of teenagers ran amok at a house party.

Police were called to the property in Perth on Saturday night, with CCTV showing the mob of young men and women rampaging.

When asked to move on, one of the group of about 60 teenagers threw a fence post and a brick through a rear glass door, with shards narrowly missing a baby inside.

The event in Waikiki was a 'going away' party for a 17-year-old because the family is moving to Victoria.

The father confronted people throwing the items and he was punched in the face, leaving him unconscious and with a broken jaw.

He was taken to Rockingham Hospital in a stable condition.

Neighbouring residents told emergency services some people in the street were armed, and violent clashes saw youths throwing bottles at each other.

In a recording obtained by 9NEWS, the homeowner and mother of the teen hosting the party can be heard yelling at her daughter.

"Well go to the f------ cops... your father's f----- up, the house is f----- up... they're your f----- friends."

The mother, identified only as Rebecca, told reporters she was a bit shaken by what happened.

"But I got three kids and you know it's just, yeah, hopefully it doesn't happen again," she said.

The family is helping police with their investigation but no arrests have been made.
