Gynaecologist charged with indecent assault of patient

A Perth gynaecologist has been charged with indecently assaulting a woman during a medical procedure.

It will be alleged in court the 58-year-old Canning Vale carried out an assault on a female patient during a medical procedure he was assisting with in February 2022.

At the time, the man was a doctor specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology, police said.

He will face court today.
