Perth cyclist walks away after being flung 10 metres by car

A Perth cyclist hit by a car and thrown 10 metres through the air has managed to walk away unscathed.

The shocking video, shared with Dash Cam Owners Australia and posted online, shows the moment the cyclist is run down by a car as it turned on to Safety Bay Road in Waikiki about 7.45am yesterday.

The cyclist can be seen flying about 10 metres from the intersection of Rand Avenue before landing on the ground.

“Old bloke hit by a car on Safety Bay Road,” a witness identifying himself as “Joel” told Dash Cam Owners Australia.

“He was a bit shaken up but nothing broken and walked away from it.”
