Woman found dead off Sydney shoreline ‘not suspicious’

Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found in waters off Sydney’s North Head.

Emergency services were called about 1pm today after receiving reports a body was found floating offshore, near Manly.

Officers from the Marine Area Command and five NSW Ambulance resources began an operation to retrieve the woman’s body. 

“Initial inquiries suggest there are no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding the woman’s death,” a NSW Police spokesperson said. 

“Inquiries are continuing.”
