Performer critically injured after fall at Chinese dance studio

A Sydney performer is fighting for his life after falling from the shoulders of another performer during a rehearsal for a traditional Chinese dance.
Emergency services were called to the Chinese Youth League in Dixon Street, Haymarket at 7.45pm.
The 19-year-old is believed to have been taking part in a rehearsal for the Chinese Dragon dance when he climbed onto the shoulders of another performer.

9NEWS understands he may have fallen onto a metal pole and was knocked out.
He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Police will return to the scene today to investigate.
