Pensions get inflation lift
AAP
People on the age-pension will get an extra $6.90 a fortnight and couples $10.40 after the latest inflation adjustments.
Twice a year - March and September - pensions are adjusted using the consumer price index or a cost of living gauge, benchmarked against male total average weekly earnings.
"We know that every dollar counts for people on these payments and I'm pleased to deliver these increases," Social Services Minister Christian Porter said in a statement on Sunday, noting the disability support pension and other payments and allowances have also increased.
