Pedestrians dangerously confuse bus lane as walkway

Pedestrians have been filmed mistaking a bus lane for a walkway on a major road.

A group of pedestrians were seen walking along a red-painted lane of traffic that was clearly marked as a bus lane.

The motorist who shared the dashcam footage of the incident blew his horn to warn them, but the group appeared unconcerned with the warning.

It wasn't until a bus approached directly behind them that the group scurried onto a large nature strip.

The incident happened after 5pm on Monday.

It is unclear where it occurred, but the radio station indicates that it was likely somewhere in Sydney.
