Pedestrian killed in Melbourne's north while crossing street

A 58-year-old woman has died after being struck by a car as she crossed a street in Coburg in Melbourne's north.
Police say the woman died on Nicholson Street after being hit at about 8.45pm on Saturday.

The male driver of the car stopped and assisted police at the scene.
