The federal government won't run election campaign advertisements on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Anzac Day.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison says he understands Labor has agreed to the suspension on Good Friday and Anzac Day, but will still advertise on Easter Sunday.
"I would ask them to extend that to Easter Sunday - that is sort of the whole point of the Christian Easter celebration," he told reporters in the Tasmanian town of Ulverstone on Tuesday.
