Two men seriously injured following shooting on busy Melbourne road

Two men have been taken to hospital following a double shooting north of Melbourne’s CBD last night.

The men were reportedly shot while inside a car on the corner of Macarthur Road and Royal Parade, Parkville, at 11.30pm.

Both men suffered gunshot wounds and remain in the Royal Melbourne Hospital. One man is in a serious condition while the other man is stable. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Armed crime squad detectives are now investigating whether the shooting took place where the men were found, or at another location.
