Paramedics to appear on national register

Australia's health ministers have agreed to establish a national register for paramedics.

The decision was made at a meeting of federal and state health ministers in Adelaide on Friday.

South Australian Health Minister Jack Snelling says a national register would allow different jurisdictions to share information and would give the public confidence the person treating them was fully qualified and accredited.
