Pamela Scott named chief IR commisioner
AAP
The West Australian government has appointed Pamela Scott as its first female chief industrial relations commissioner.
WA Attorney-General Michael Mischin said Ms Scott's extensive experience and legal qualifications made her ideally suited to the position, having served as a commissioner since 1994 and as acting senior commissioner since 2009.
Mr Mischin also said two female lawyers, Sandra De Maio and Anne Longden, had been appointed as magistrates in Western Australia.
