Clive Palmer has vowed to reverse controversial government pension changes if he's re-elected to parliament at the next federal election.

The Palmer United Party leader has taken up Social Services Minister Scott Morrison's challenge to Labor to prove its outrage by vowing to reverse the measures before parliament imposes a tighter assets test on tens of thousands of seniors.

"If I'm elected to the next parliament, I will be voting to reverse these measures," Mr Palmer told the lower house on Monday, branding government legislation as "totally unfair" and "unreasonable".
