Pair wanted after men slashed with knife in Melbourne pokies brawl

Police in Melbourne are hunting two men after a wild brawl saw two victims slashed with a knife during a wild brawl at a pokies venue in the city’s north.

The wanted pair were gambling at The Excelsior Hotel on May 29 when the melee erupted over a dispute in the gaming area.

The offenders can be seen on CCTV punching and kicking a security guard and another patron.

As the evicted patrons moved outside, the fight escalated again and the knife was drawn by one of the men.

The victim and the intervening security worker both suffered lacerations from the blade before the men fled.

The first man is described as being Caucasian, in his early 30s, 185cm tall, with an athletic build and facial hair.

The second man is of European appearance, in his late 20s or early 30s and also about 185cm tall.
