P-plater caught speeding, drink driving

A P-plater's car has been impounded after he was caught allegedly driving while drunk at more than 170km/h on a Victorian freeway.
The 21-year-old man from Sunbury was intercepted by highway patrol officers on the Calder Freeway about 9.30pm on Tuesday.
Police say they clocked the young driver at a speed of 173km/h.

When pulled over and breath tested, he returned a blood alcohol reading of .061.
The man's car was seized and he faces multiple charges, including speeding and drink driving.
