'Waste of money': Organ donor expert backs Koch's inquiry tirade

An organ donor council adviser has backed Sunrise presenter David Koch's tirade against an inquiry into the donation system, labeling it a "waste of money".

Professor Geoff Dobb worked with Mr Koch on the advisory council of the Organ and Tissue Authority until he quit his role as chairman while on national television this week, calling the inquiry an "absolute disgrace".

Prof Dobb told the Australian Medical Association national conference in Brisbane the inquiry was a "waste of money" and would likely make the same findings as a previous inquiry that reported just last month.
