Optus outage leaves hundreds without service
Optus and Virgin mobile customers experienced outages this morning. AAP
Optus and Virgin Mobile customers have been hit with service outages across all states and territories in the country.
Some customers were unable to make calls, had crossed lines and could not go online for much of the morning.
“We have been progressively restoring services since 10am,” an Optus spokesperson told 9NEWS.
It is understood customers were advised to revert to the 3G network as a temporary fix to the issue.
Optus advised 9NEWS that the majority of services were restored before midday.
“We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience experienced and appreciate their patience while services were being restored,” Optus said.
Just last month another mass outage occurred across multiple states with similar issues.
