Onions group to deliver cooked meal to PM

It was the bizarre bite that made international headlines and now Tony Abbott could be set to get his hands on a lot more onions.
After the prime minister ate an unpeeled Tasmanian onion last week, Onions Australia will on Wednesday try to hand-deliver him a basket of more local grown produce.
And so he doesn't have to have another raw one, Onions Australia CEO Lechelle Earl wants to offer Mr Abbott a cooked meal and a list of recipes.

The organisation hopes to use the delivery to promote the Australian onion industry.
