One person critically injured after crash on the Gold Coast

A motorcyclist, aged in his 20s, is in a critical condition after a serious collision involving another motorbike and a car on the Gold Coast earlier today.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Days Road and Old Coach Road in Upper Coomera at around 10am.
The motorbikes were travelling west on Commercial Street when they collided with a car as it turned right into Old Coach Road, police investigations suggest.
One of the motorcycle drivers was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital with critical head and neck injuries.
The other motorcyclist, a woman, was taken to hospital for assessment, but suffered no injuries.
The driver of the car was also uninjured.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area as delays are expected.
