Officeworks ear buds recalled for overheating charging cord

A pair of ear buds have been recalled over fears the USB charging cord may overheat and burn through.

The white OTTO TW100 True Wireless Ear Buds from Officeworks are rechargeable and come with a case.

The ACCC has warned "if the charging cord overheats and burns through, this may cause a fire, increasing the risk of serious injury or death."

The product was available both in stores across the country and online between July 14 and October 20 of this year.

They are marked with Brand: OTTO, model no.: TW100 and Batch Code: FD. The product code is: OTSLTHW08

Anyone who has a pair of the ear buds should stop using the charging cord immediately and return them to Officeworks for a refund.
