O'Dwyer slams Labor super proposal

Cabinet minister Kelly O'Dwyer has ruled out considering Labor's compromise proposal on superannuation, insisting it's a tax grab.

Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has proposed lowering the income threshold at which point the tax on a person's super contributions rises from 15 per cent to 30 per cent, with the additional funds allowing the government to ditch the retrospectivity from its controversial super policy.

Ms O'Dwyer told Sky News on Thursday the proposal would make it harder for women and older Australians to catch up on super contributions, labelling it an attempt to tax people more.
