More than 100 residents evacuated after fire at nursing home in Thirlmere

More than 100 residents were evacuated after a fire at a nursing home in Thirlmere, in Sydney's south west.
NSW ambulance and firefighters were called to the scene on Thirlmere Way just after 9am on Tuesday.
The fire broke out in a duct above the laundry room, and firefighters managed to stop it spreading to any other parts of the building.

No one was injured, with residents evacuated as a precaution.
Many residents were wheeled out in their beds, but were allowed back into the facility by 10.30am.
