Veteran affairs deputy commissioner for NT

The Northern Territory will have its own dedicated Deputy Commissioner for Veterans Affairs.

Labor Member for Solomon, Luke Gosling, welcomed the federal government's announcement, saying veterans of the NT need the same level of assistance and services as those in other states.

"We have a large proportion of Australian Defence Force personnel and veterans in my electorate and they deserve the best possible frontline support," he said on Friday.
