Thanks for keeping faith: CLP Xmas card

Northern Territory Opposition Leader Gary Higgins and his deputy Lia Finocchiaro have sent out a Christmas message to Territorians, thanking those who "kept faith in difficult times".

The Country Liberals Party was reduced to just two seats in parliament following a crushing defeat at the August election.

"Your loyalty and dedication is appreciated," they said in a joint statement on Thursday.

The CLP's single term in office was marred by scandals, leadership spills and 18 cabinet reshuffles, and in October Mr Higgins apologised for letting the Territory down.

"There are many challenges ahead for our organisation, but these bring an opportunity to renew and re-establish where we want to be as a party," Mr Higgins and Ms Finocchiaro said.
