Sister act: Siblings caught drink-driving in same car just hours apart
The sisters are both facing drink driving charges.
Two sisters from Tennant Creek have been charged with drink driving, after being caught within hours of each other and allegedly behind the wheel of the same car.
At midnight, a red Ford was stopped by police on Limonite Street and a 32-year-old woman was breath-tested and returned a positive reading.
An hour and a half later, police stopped the car again on Paterson Street and a 34-year-old woman also returned a positive breath-test.
Police said the pair are sisters and allege the younger woman told officers she was her sister when she was arrested.
The 32-year-old woman has been charged with medium range drink driving, driving unlicensed, driving while disqualified and giving false or misleading information.
Her sister was also charged with driving unlicensed and high-range drink driving.
Both women will have their cases mentioned in Tennant Creek Local Court next week.
