May 17, 2016

Noel Ramage, 75, drowned when his tinny capsized on Leaders Creek. His 72-year-old friend said the boat was tipped over by a crocodile. He threw spanners and spark plugs at crocodiles and sat trapped in mangroves for three hours before he was rescued.

A 2.5m crocodile reportedly entered the tent of Peter Rowsell, 19, and tried to drag him out by his foot while camping at Palm Creek.

Darwin kitesurfer Chris Keeping, 29, was attacked by a 2.5-metre saltwater crocodile 100 metres offshore at Casuarina Coastal Reserve. He only suffered scratches after he poked it in the eye and repeatedly hit it with his board until the crocodile retreated.

Goose hunter Stephen Moreen, 20, was attacked when a two-metre-long crocodile launched out of the water and latched onto his right arm after he waded into water near Peppimenarti. He fought it off by poking it in the eyes and received stitches.

Vietnamese fisherman, 57, was killed by albino-headed crocodile known as Michael Jackson while fishing at the crocodile-infested Adelaide River. The crocodile was later shot dead by rangers.

Fisherman Bill Scott, 62, was emptying a bucket on his boat when a 4.7m crocodile leapt up and snatched him, killing him in front of his family.

A 12-year-old boy was killed by a crocodile while swimming in a billabong at Jabiru, in Kakadu National Park. Another boy, 15, was bitten but released. Three crocodiles were shot in the search for the boy, measuring 2.5m, 4.3m and 4.7m.

Sean Cole, 26, was taken by a 4.7m crocodile while racing another man across the 180m-wide crocodile-infested Mary River during a 30th birthday weekend. It was later shot by rangers.

A nine-year-old boy was snatched at a remote swimming spot at the Port Bradshaw estuary near Nhulunbuy. Adults threw spears at the animal but it responded by dragging the boy into deeper water.

November 17, 2012

A seven-year-old girl was killed by a crocodile while swimming at a waterhole at the Gumarrirnbang outstation. A three-metre crocodile was shot dead the next day and human remains were found inside.
