Pedestrian killed by motorbike in Darwin

A pedestrian crossing the road has been fatally struck by a motorbike in Darwin.
The 42-year-old man died when he was hit by a motorcycle in Palmerston on Friday night, Northern Territory Police said in a statement on Saturday.
The 21-year-old male rider also suffered significant injuries and was to be flown to Adelaide for further treatment.
