NT woman arrested over cleaver attack

A Northern Territory woman who attacked a man with a cleaver has been arrested.

Police said the 56-year-old ambushed a 54-year-old man outside his caravan on a property at Lambells Lagoon just after midnight on Thursday.

Police say the man tried to flee but the woman pursued him, stopping only when another man emerged from a nearby residence.

The man was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries, while the woman was arrested and charged with recklessly endangering life.

She has been remanded in custody to appear at Darwin Magistrates Court later on Friday.
