NT politician hospitalised in Darwin

A Northern Territory government minister has been rushed to hospital in Darwin.

"Earlier today an ambulance was called to Parliament House to treat Minister for Primary Industry and Resources Ken Vowles," Chief Minister Michael Gunner said in a statement on Monday.

The 46-year-old member for Johnston was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for tests and treatment.

"My colleagues and I are wishing him all the best for a speedy recovery. Mr Vowles maintains his duties," Mr Gunner said.
