Darwin, Perth Parliaments given all clear after linked bomb scare

The Darwin and Perth Parliament Houses have been given the all-clear after a bomb threat was made against "an Australian Parliament" this afternoon.

Police told 9NEWS a threat had been made that a bomb would go off inside one of the country's parliaments.

Politics, staff and visitors were all evacuated from both buildings during the incident this afternoon.

NT police said they had been alerted to the threat by national security officials.

However, the situation was shortly declared safe at both locations after police and internal security services swept the buildings.
