Men charged after axe attack at NT mine site
Two men have been charged after they allegedly attacked workers with axes on a Northern Territory mine site.
NT Police said up to five offenders entered a mine site on the island of Groote Eylandt and some were allegedly armed with axes about 2am on September 30.
"One worker was threatened with an axe while another was struck in the chest with a blunt object, suffering a laceration to their chest," NT Police said in a statement.

"A third worker suffered an injury to their eye when a window was smashed."
Police allege the group caused damage to the facility.
"Investigations remain ongoing and police would like to thank the local community for their assistance in this matter," detective senior sergeant Karl Day said.

A 17-year-old was charged with six offences including criminal damage and aggravated assault.
He was bailed and will appear before court next month.
A 20-year-old was charged with six of the same offences as the teenager and recklessly endanger serious harm.
He was taken into police custody and will appear in court next month.
