NT man charged after attempted stabbing

A Darwin man who attempted to stab his co-worker after a workplace disagreement has been charged by police.

The 21-year-old was arrested at home on Friday and charged after he allegedly attempted to stab his 31-year-old male colleague at about 10pm on Thursday night.

"Luckily the victim was able to avoid the knife a number of times before running from the scene," said Sergeant Drew Slape.

The man has been charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, being armed with a controlled weapon, making threats to kill and going armed in public, and will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court at a later date.
