NT driver charged over death of partner

A man has been charged over the death of his partner after crashing his car into a tree near Alice Springs.

The 35-year-old suffered minor injures but his partner, also aged 35, died at the scene after the car hit a tree and rolled on Tuesday, police say.

The man will appear in the Alice Spring Court on December 16 charged with driving causing death and driving while disqualified.
