Fears croc is living in NT suburban sewer after resident witnesses bin attack

There are fears a crocodile could be living in a Northern Territory suburban sewer after a man spotted the predator attacking a wheelie bin outside his house near Darwin.
"A Palmerston resident got quite the shock this morning when he awoke to a 1m crocodile attacking his bin on Ping Que Court in Moulden," Northern Watch Commander Acting Senior Sergeant Drew Slape said.
"Police attended the location only to see the croc make a quick escape down the street drain pipe."
Its current whereabouts are unknown but it may still be in the area.
Police are urging any members of the public who come across a crocodile in a residential area to leave the reptile alone and contact police or Parks and Wildlife.
