NT cop to face court for deception

A Northern Territory police officer will appear in court on criminal deception and false statement charges.

Police said on Wednesday the 40-year-old officer had been issued with a notice to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on April 14 but they would not provide further information about the offences.

They said they had released the details in accordance with transparency guidelines.
