NT cop suspended for 'disgraceful' actions

A Northern Territory police officer has been suspended without pay for allegedly producing and distributing clothing with highly inappropriate content.

The 61-year-old officer was found to breach the Police Administration Act and was suspended from duty following an investigation.

Assistant Commissioner Michael White labelled the officer's actions as "disgraceful".

"For a serving officer to be involved in this behaviour brings disrepute to the entire police force and this behaviour is unacceptable,' Commissioner White said.

"I reiterate the Commissioner's apology to the community for the conduct of this member."
