Nine NT teens charged with 200 offences
Tennant Creek police have charged nine teens with more than 200 offences allegedly committed during a crime spree.
The group broke into four residences on Sunday, causing "substantial damage" before breaking into an industrial shed and damaging a tractor, forklift and three vehicles, police said on Wednesday.
They also performed burn-outs on two scooters before being arrested by police and charged with multiple counts of aggravated unlawful entry, stealing, property damage, attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and trespassing.
An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy have been remanded in custody to appear at the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on January 8.
The rest of the teens have been released on bail to appear in the Tennant Creek Court on January 11.
