Fisherman taken by crocodile in Northern Territory
Police in the Northern Territory are searching for a 57-year-old man taken by a crocodile this evening. 9NEWS
Police in the Northern Territory have confirmed that a man was taken by a crocodile in front of his wife while fishing.
The 57-year-old man was reportedly taken near the Adelaide River bridge on the Arnhem Highway, around an hour east of Darwin.

He was apparently trying to retrieve a fishing hook at the time he was taken by the crocodile.
Superintendent Jo Foley said the man’s wife raised the alarm after he was taken at around 6pm this evening.
“He was there with his wife and he was fishing on the water’s edge,” she said.
