Man's body found in Alice Springs

Police investigating the death of a man found in the dry bed of the Todd River in Alice Springs say they have managed to identify several possible witnesses.
The man, who was found about 6.30am on Thursday, is still to be formally identified.
Officers remain at the scene and expect an autopsy to be completed on Friday.

Four detectives from the Darwin-based major crime unit will join the local investigation team later on Thursday.
Police are also hoping CCTV from nearby businesses will help further identify the movements of people in the area.
The crime scene is likely to remain in place overnight, with residents warned to avoid the area between Barrett Drive and South Terrace.
