Man dies after NT hit and run

A man has died after a hit and run in the Northern Territory.

It appears a vehicle hit the man and left the scene either late Friday night or early Saturday morning, police say.

A road block is in place on the Stuart Highway, about 12kms north of Three Ways, while investigations continue.

The man's death brings the state's road toll to 37 this year.
