Man bottled, another coward punched:NT cop

Two men are in a Darwin hospital, one a victim of a one punch attack while the other had an artery severed while being assaulted in a bar with a bottle.

Northern Northern police say a 37-year-old man was attacked with a single punch in Darwin's CBD in the early hours of Sunday.

Two men, aged 23 and 24, are charged over the incident.

Twenty-four hours later, a second assault occurred at a Darwin bar at around 3am on Monday.

Police say a man smashed a beer bottle over his victim's head and slashed him in the arm, severing an artery.

The offender escaped in a taxi with two other men while the victim was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital.
