German tourist found dead at Kakadu

The body of a German tourist has been found in Kakadu National Park.

Police say an emergency beacon registered to the 31-year-old man's campervan was fired about 7pm (CST) on Wednesday.

Police from Jabiru found the man dead in the back of the campervan in the car park at Jim Jim Falls.

The man walked the top trail of the falls earlier in the day, according to initial investigations, Detective Senior Sergeant David Richardson from Katherine Police said.
