Vandals have risked their lives damaging six electrical transformers that caused the closure of a Northern Territory school.
Police say the vandalism, which could have caused a serious fire, occurred around Palmerston on Wednesday night and in the early hours of Thursday morning.
"As a result of this damage, power was cut to several locations including Moulden Park Primary School and nearby neighbourhoods," Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Broad said.
