Dead man in NT hit multiple times on road

A man killed in a hit-and-run north of Alice Springs is believed to have been struck by multiple vehicles.

Northern Territory police are investigating the incident near Connor Well on Wednesday, which killed a 39-year-old man.

"It appears that at least one vehicle to travel through the scene was a road train," Detective Senior Sergeant Lee Morgan said in a statement.
