Man drowns at NT cattle station

An 18-year-old man who died on a private cattle station near Adelaide River in the Northern Territory drowned in a dam, police say.

The man was reported missing at about 3.30am on Sunday and his body was retrieved from a dam on the station about 1pm.

An autopsy was conducted on Monday, and police said that while the circumstances surrounding the death are still being investigated, the matter has been deemed non-suspicious.

A file will be prepared for the coroner.
