Television's X-Factor host Luke Jacobz has been disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined $700 after pleading guilty to mid-range drink driving in a Sydney court this morning.

The 34-year-old's case first went to court last week, after he was caught driving with a blood alcohol reading of 0.116 in the eastern Sydney suburb of Moore Park on May 31.

The television personality, whose real name is Luke Ashwood, has indicated he is remorseful.

"I couldn't be more regretful and apologetic," Ashwood said in a statement.

"My decision to drive my car the morning after a late dinner with friends is a wake-up call."
