Woman to undergo surgery after hit by car

A 29-year-old woman will undergo surgery for head injuries after she was hit by a car in Sydney's inner west.

The woman was on Parramatta Rd at Camperdown when she was hit by a 33-year-old man driving a Chrysler just before midnight on Saturday.

She was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for surgery and the driver was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
