Woman run over by own car in Sydney

A elderly woman has died after being run over by her own car in her driveway in Sydney's west.

Neighbours found the 82-year-old woman under her car at her Glenmore Park home near Penrith.

Police say the woman was reversing on Sunday morning when she stopped the car and walked behind it.

The car, which was on a slight incline, rolled over her.

The woman died at the scene.
