Woman found dead in water at Bondi Beach

A woman’s body has been pulled from the water at Bondi Beach, Sydney, just after midnight.

Just after 12.20am on Sunday, emergency services were called to the site after reports of a woman who was unresponsive in the water.

Police retrieved the woman and performed CPR, but she could not be revived.

The woman has not been formally identified but is believed to be aged in her 30s.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
